Review Policy
Review Policy Summary
We keep it simple:
-
We don’t take money for good reviews.
-
We say what we think — good or bad.
-
You may see the content before it goes live to check for factual errors, but you cannot require us to change our opinion or conclusions.
That’s how we stay honest and keep our audience’s trust.
Full Review Policy
At Lets Print It Out, transparency, integrity, and creative independence are core to our content and reviews. This policy explains our approach to product reviews, collaborations, and related media.
1. No Paid Endorsements
Lets Print It Out does not accept financial compensation in exchange for favourable reviews or endorsements.
We may accept free products or services for review, but all opinions expressed are our own and are not influenced by any brand, company, or third party.
2. Editorial Independence
We retain full creative and editorial control over all content we publish, including videos, written reviews, social media posts, and commentary.
No individual, company, or brand may dictate:
-
The tone of the review
-
The final conclusions
-
Whether content is published
When encountering difficulties during testing, we may first consult:
-
User manuals
-
Official documentation
-
Community forums or groups
before contacting the company that supplied the product. This ensures our experience reflects that of a typical customer.
Even if issues are later resolved, that experience may still be included in the final review. If it becomes clear that a problem was an anomaly and the company responded well, this will be clearly stated. If issues are not resolved, this will also be disclosed so viewers can understand what type of experience they may expect as customers.
Once a review has been agreed and the product supplied, negative experiences are not grounds for cancelling or removing a review. If a product performs poorly, the review will reflect that.
If we later confirm that a mistake was made in our testing or process, we may remove or amend the original content and upload a corrected version. Where appropriate, we will reference the original error in the description to remain transparent with viewers.
Lets Print It Out is not responsible for any negative publicity, loss of sales, or business impact resulting from honest reviews. It is the manufacturer’s responsibility to ensure their products are safe, reliable, and competitive.
3. 3D Printer Review Process (When Applicable)
The following steps are typical but not guaranteed and may vary depending on the product:
-
Overview of advertised features and specifications based on official product pages
-
Unboxing and assembly
-
Initial setup, including bed levelling and filament loading
-
Evaluation of included tools, spares, and documentation
-
Test prints using files provided with the machine (if applicable)
-
Test prints using recommended slicing software and settings
-
Test prints using alternative slicers when available
-
Performance evaluation using mainly PLA filament, including:
-
Surface quality
-
Dimensional accuracy
-
Detail in small features
-
Large or tall prints where suitable
-
-
Testing with other materials (such as PETG, ABS, TPU) when supported
-
Testing of safety features such as thermal runaway protection
-
Testing of convenience features such as filament runout detection and power loss recovery
-
Review of firmware availability and update options
-
Review of community support, documentation, and modification availability
Where possible, we aim for extended testing time to reflect real-world usage rather than short demonstrations.
4. Pre-Publication Previews
We may allow companies to preview content before public release only to check factual accuracy.
Previews do not provide any editorial control.
You may suggest corrections to factual errors, but:
-
We are not required to make changes
-
Final decisions remain entirely at our discretion
5. Disclosure
In line with advertising standards and best practices, we clearly disclose when:
-
Products are provided for free
-
Sponsorships are involved
-
Any form of collaboration exists
Transparency with our audience is always a priority.
